This merger would be bad for consumers. As soon as the the deal is done AT&T and Verizon will have more than 80% market share. This will drive up prices and decrease competition.

You do realize that there are *still* providers like Cricket and Virgin Mobile right? There would be a HUGE exodus. Instead, one provider here will nickel and dime their way down till they're cheaper, then the next will have to move down to compete, etc.

Yeah, I'm out of contract with TMO so I'm going to Sprint for the HTC EVO 3D!
