wtf T-Mobile
Is it just me, but is the fact that T-Mobile is still holding out on also offering this making them seem like a bunch of D-Bags?
Maybe they need the revenue to pay for their hot 4g girls salary.

Seriously. Any excuse T-Mobile may have tried to use would have seemed pretty slim once Sprint joined AT&T and Verizon. And it goes right out of the window with MetroPCS joining the fray.

I must say, as a T-Mo subscriber and not having ANY family or personal attachment to the tragedy in Japan...I am seriously dissappointed in T-Mobile for not stepping up. âšī¸

It does appear that Deutsch-Mobile would rather worry about the Catherine Zeta-Jones replacement and her putrid Fuschia colored wardrobe.
They could play dress-up with any convict on Estrogen, add lipstick and stiletto heels, and get the same effect. And they'll do it all for just a pack of smokes. Hence they could save the $$$.

I am also a T-Mobile subscriber AND I have family in Japan. So I am extremely disappointed in this. Fortunately, my brother was able to make contact with us so we know he's ok.

I find this article slightly misleading. After calling Metro PCS to confirm (I have both Sprint and Metro) I was advised they are only offering free calling to Japan Landline numbers. Not only that, they require you be on a $50/mo minimum plan (no prob there) and have their $10/mo international dialing plan. So it costs an extra $10/mo for it to be "free" and is restricted to landline numbers only. Not really free and quite restricting IMO.
