does google voice work with wifi?

I haven't had great experiences with google voice texting personally.

I can sent a message, hours and hours later I will get the message time stamped minutes after I sent my original message.

This doens't work out well when your texting a girl and you ask her what shes doing tonight, then the next morning you wake up to a message saying "nothing come over".

I originally used Google voice so those I can block the girls when they start getting crazy with me. Now I just give out my normal number and use "Call Control" (I think thats the app's name) to blacklist them if they start to get out of control hah.

Yeah it sucks and had happened to me a couple times.

Delay is/can be horrible eve...
