Ah, but what about the ETF?

And wouldn't the data feature be grandfathered anyways?

Well at least Sprint is still unlimited and isn't playing games with people like ATT & Vzn.

AT&T and Verizon aren't playing games. It's called being careful about not allowing a massive amount of people to destroy your data network. Sprint would suffer too if it had close to the same amount of subscribers the other two have.

Not taking sides because I sell all three carriers at my current job, but Sprint hasn't been so innocent either in what you call the "playing games department." That $10/mo upcharge is pissing a lot of people off...or did you conveniently forget about that little change?

Sprint data IS fast...where you can get it. I liked Sprint when I had them so I'm not arguing there...but we'll see how WiMax compares when LTE comes out for phones (Thunderbolt)

Me too. If I didn't have unlimited email and web and unlimited tethering for $30 and $15 respectively I would look at Sprint more closely. But, I would have to bring six family members with me or get they'd get killed without mobile-to-mobile to me.

Won't happen, that is why they instituted the $10 premium data charge for PDA phones. In order to maintain the sustainability of the unlimited data business model and achieve an acceptable operating margin.

I'll buy pickles a 6 pack if Sprint starts trodden data for handsets within the next five years.

I'll take a six-pack!

PS, the only reason Sprint is attatching a "premium data fee" to ALL 3G handsets is to avoid the lawsuit Clear brought against them for not paying dividends on all of it's $10.00 charges for the EVO, Moment etc...

That makes sense and is still a great source of revenue. Win win for Sprint if you ask me.

You should know better, by seeing what the other providers do. If tiered pricing wouldn't have been introduced, Sprint wouldn't have gotten away with adding that extra charge.

The way I see it, all wireless providers try to screw customers over somehow. And so, when one company comes up with a way to screw their customers in a innovative way, the other ones just sit there and watch, and when they see that that first company hasn't gone bankrupt, they decide to copycat.

Damn straight. I've been saying this for years. T-Mobile and Sprint are less guilty because they can't afford to be. Everyone hates the man until they can be the man. All these mofos suck and none gives a damn about us except separating us from our money.

Sprint is racking it up, though.

We have a spending limit on our accounts for about a decade now, as an alternative to high deposits for people with less-than-stellar credit scores. Last year, Sprint decided to add a 4.99 fee to it in order to "reduce costs".

And the $10 charge is always a nice example.

My money is pretty safe but in the RARE event that I would have to pay up I would be honorable and get a private micro-brew labor or at the very least Sam Adams or Blue Moon. But again my money is quite safe

Couldn't agree more Sprint has been boss enough to keep the unlimited going and they have shown no signs of slowing down. The only ppl saying it will happen are the ones mad because they no longer have it. 😎

Of course, features are grandfathered. I would not still be with these *Bleepers* if they weren't. Loving my unlimited data and unlimited tether.

What industry do you work in?

I find it pretty easy to believe how dumb consumers are.
