You know Sprint. They'll beat the dead horse till it's glue, then use the glue to keep their shambles of a company together till they can find a new horse.

My goodness, why do folks get so reactionary over headlines? Sprint has stated that they will begin phasing out iDEN in 2013. It will be a gradual process. This iDEN agreement with Motorola extends through the end of 2013. If you stop and think for a moment, it's easy to see that nothing has actually changed with their plans. iDEN is still going bye-bye. Calm down, people.

I was thinkn about buying the motorola i886 when it comes oout on jan.9.2011 its a.android iden!!!!

just like someone else said before, Sprint is going to get rid of iDEN gradually, there are too many users that don't want to stop using theirr walkie talkie... they would rather stop using cellphones and go back to walkie talkies.. their currently working on CDMA walkie talkie enabled phones but will take some time.
