If Vzw gets the iPhone it'll certaintly force Motorola to put some of this high end Android devices on AT&T. And maybe even force them to show Sprint more Android love also.

Why would it force them to do that? iPhone is on AT&T too so the competition is equal. Despite some brainwashed beliefs, millions of people actually prefer Android of iOS so there is always going to be a healthy demand for both, particularly the Droid line.

Yeah, but millions, millions more prefer iOS to Android, especially Motorola's botched execution of it.

If iPhone does in fact go to Vzw in Q1, it's going to cannibalize Motorola's Android sales. The Droid II (pro) and the Droid X are their most popular phones and likely the most popular phones on Vzw. If Vzw get's the iPhone, the most popular phone in the world by far, it's certainly going to effect Motorola a great deal.

"enter" - Motorola Olympus on AT&T!

apple can't even get one version of the iphone 4 to work properly (had position issue) nor can they even make it in the color that they originally said they could. do you think they really are going to make one for a different carrier with different radio types, and that when they do thet thay are going to make it lte capable? I think not.

Actually, many VZW reps will be pushing the Droid phones despite aquiring the iPos. Droid X still offers more features and uses than the iPos 4. iPos on VZW will only give VZW more options of what they can sell. VZW customers have mostly already found the Android OS and prefer it. Most of the iPos customers will be blind, ignorant sheep whose money VZW will gladly take.

Execution has nothing to do with it. People prefer iOS to Android simply because they're sheep and have to have the latest and greatest from Apple. OS has absoulely nothing to do with it. People buy Apple products because it's "cool" to own them. Not because they're better necessary. Please, go play with iPhone and leave Android to the grown-ups, ok?

Could be the iPhone. Or it could be that since Android is open platform, they're facing more competition. Last year, we had two optionsL the Droid 1 for a premium Android handset and the HTC Eris for a basic handset. Now there are close to ten Android handsets available on Verizon. So it's a lot harder for Motorola to have a de facto corner on the market.
