At what point is the screen too big...

Definitely not hating on this phone because it looks simply amazing. But this is a question I had when I saw the HD2 at T-Mobile. Although we love more screen real estate, I wonder at what point does the screen get too big that it turns off normal consumers?

I agree....I think this has reached that point. Anything more than this is just uncomfortable to hold

I agree. 3.7 is just fine for me.

It's too bad that IT&Ts data plans ruin smartphones, cause this thing is one heck of a beast!!! Even has BT 3.0 & Wifi N!!!

Yeah it is a shame though. I'd love to see this and the iPhone 4 side by side to compare the screens. AT&T sucks. Now with their new data plans, theres no way in hell I would sign with them. Not even for a 2ghz Android phone. No way

First of all I didn't make it up, I read it one time in either the BGR forums, or the Engadget Mobile forums, it essentially implies that AT&T and Apple are in bed together, you know cause Apple names a lot of their products "I" this & "I" that, Ipod, Imac, Iphone, put that an AT&T together and you get "IT&T, get it?

Honestly, that's what it comes down to. Trying to enter text or tap the corner of the screen on phones like the HD2 and Evo is a stretch for most thumbs.

j/k - 1 handed operation is a good standard, but then, I have pretty big hands. I could use the iPad as a phone with some difficulty, and I'd have no problem with the Dell Streak.

This thing, I'm very inclined to finding out first hand - but as long as my E63 (with it's ancient hyeroglyph-based OS formerly used on late model abacuses) is chugging along just fine, I have no need of a new toy.

Want, yes, but need? No. 😉

Yeah, I've poked in a few times, but most of the time, the more I look, the more I want something new & shiny.

S60 sure doesn't look so great as a total customizable phone OS compared to Android, does it? And to think how everyone who had an N-series Nokia was once a king among men. 😉

I've had a few friends get Droids, and the cool thing is how it's turned the non-phone geeks into technowizards & gear freaks. I have a friend who used to work for a professional Linux support company, and he's done amazing things after rooting it.

I dunno what will be actually available when this little thing I answer calls on gives up the ghost, but I'm going for an Android phone for sure..... or maybe the Galaxy Tablet. 🤤

After owning the Evo for the last week and a half, I can honestly say that the 4.3 in screen was somewhat intrusive at first. My opinion has dramatically changed now. Everything is just awesome on the larger screen. It truly is a great experience.

I will say though that 4.3in is the largest I would go. Anything larger, begins to cross into ridiculous.

I completely agree. You'll feel great about that phone for a month or so. Of course until something new comes out, and destroys it(spec wise). I too work for one of the hungry giants, but I feel like I cannot even buy a new phone these days in fear that something new will come shortly after. All aboard the saltiness train fanboys! 🤣

its pretty big, but the EVO is big too and i dont have a hard time using it, but hey i use BT to talk so it doesnt bother me much. Plus the screen is a great size for watchin videos and movies and such (a kickstand like the EVO would be nice)
and i thought bout getting the aria but this my change my mind but i gotta see how their touch screen is bc ive NEVER liked any of samsungs touch screen devices i have used
