Apple Announces iPhone 4
Complete and utter... win.
Incredible = win.
This = slightly upgraded 3 year old phone. Apple is getting old and uncool fast.
Seriously... faster proc. better camera. better screen. yawn.
what else did you expect?
I dont mean to hate but they didnt introduce nothing innovative or "WOW" inspiring...besides the dispaly I guess 😕
comparable screens. not sure if as good, but the Evo's is dam gorgeous.
open app store. biggest complaint about apple is the crappy allow/deny system that they have. don't have to worry about it on Android.
Open OS. Don't like something? Replace it. Don't like the IM program? Desktop? background? change it. customize it.
No need to 'Jailbreak' an Android phone.
SD cards. changeable batteries. standard power/usb connectors.
Evo has HDMI out. 4g.
What does Apple have, besides a walled off appliance, with limits that people seem to creame them-selves over?
Take a look at a real Evo. It is every bit as smooth and polished as the iPhone.
You compare N1, which...

HTC Evo has:
-4G
-Bigger screen
-8MP (vs 5MP)
-Allows video calling over network
-KICKSTAND!
-Open platform
I'm kinda also miffed that iOS 4 doesn't have widgets. The ones in HTC Sense & Android are so nice.
Video Calling that is actually possible and isn't half-assed = Win
The Best Screen to Ever Grace a Cell Phone = Win
Thinner than the Prior iPhone = Double Win
Entirely new chassis and housing design = Major Win
iMovie = Win (seriously that's desktop-class software)
Insanely Good Camera Quality with a Backlit Sensor = Win
Battery Life longer than 3 hours = Win
The Evo and Incredible: Both running out of date software with a crappy skin overlay, one of which can't even use all of its features and suffers from pathetic battery life. Fail.
Video Calling Confined to Specific Phone Model = Fail
bluecoyote Neglecting to Care About Screens Until iPhone Catches Up = Fail
A Lot of Phone Lines Get Thinner Over Time = Fail
New Chassis/Housing Design, Join the Club = Fail
iMovie = I'll give you this one. Kinda cool.
bluecoyote Neglecting to Care About Camera Quality Until iPhone Catches Up = Fail
Being Completely in the Dark About Battery Life = Fail
(Seriously, I easily get a full day of battery out of my phone, sometimes two.)
iPhone has been running out-of-date software for a long time now. Your point?
He was using Wi-Fi and the network was down.
"Video Calling Confined to Specific Phone Model = Fail"
Video calling doesn't even work on the EVO, wich is the ONLY Android phone with video calling... a little like the pot calling the kettle black eh?
"A Lot of Phone Lines Get Thinner Over Time = Fail"
What??? an advance in technology is a fail???? That doesn't even make sense dude.
"New Chassis/Housing Design, Join the Club = Fail"
Wait... what? Thats not even an argument, what are you talking about??????
"iMovie = I'll give you this one. Kinda cool."
damn right it is!!!

It blows my mind that so many people fail to acknowledge the cellular network error that shows up on one of the devices.

The name of the app escapes me at the moment, but video calls are already available on Android phones. Furthermore, Skype plans on offering video calls on Android phones in the future. With iPhone, there's only one model that'll support it at the moment, with none of the previous models potentially being supported.

Get the trend? Apple Faithful are *EVERYWHERE*. So why can't the Apple haters do the same?
And FYI... I have an iPhone. It's an okay phone. It was the best phone on AT&T last year.
Now very stale. Functional, but stale. Very over-hyped.
I haven't decided fully on if I'll go Android (most likely), Palm or WM7 when I'm due my upgrade. That'll depend on how things stack up later this year (And whether or not I'll be able to add HotSpot to AT&T Palm, WM7 release, Android releases on AT&T, etc). Most definitely not iOS.
I will point out, every step of the way, t...
