If the article is accurate, not for 2 more years. I suppose they will have to "suffer" with the Android OS phones, instead.

I'd much rather suffer with a Droid Incredible.

having used one I'd say putting up with that phone violates clauses in the Geneva convention. 🤣

As opposed to me getting my information from a best friend who's owned one since they arrived on the 29th of April.

I wonder whose recommendation I'll go with?

I'm more concerned with who will be right after 6 months. 🤣

I've had one on me too but I find it to be a giant piece of garbage because I don't have to pay $400.00 to get rid of it. The Sense UI is wretched, lags (wait to put your apps on it) and can't be disabled. Reception is poor, and the keyboard is horrible.

So why don't you travel into the future and check it out for all of us? We promise not to close the time portal behind you. Honest.

The Coyote's high. And all the funny little "cigarettes" have an apple with a bite taken out, stamped on them.

He uses the "availability heuristic"- "I've owned one...", as if to say his experience is typical of ALL users. He goes on to spew words like "lag", which is highly subjective.

I ain't sportin' a magic Delorian, so I'll wait and see how things sort out.

I've learned to ignore his all-encompassing "That sucks!" statements.

That's your loss if critique from someone who isn't financially wrapped up in a single platform (well sort of with WebOS) but who actually views handsets as an investment instead of gadgetry the manufacturer gave me for a week.

I've been around the block, and I can sniff a good product from a bad one. Don't whine if you don't like it.

Critique? lol--Bad mouthing anything that isn't an iPhone isn't 'critique'. It's just fanboyism at its worst.

Your right, that is fanboyism. But I don't bash everything that isn't an iPhone. In fact, if you actually read what I write you might've picked up on that. But you didn't. There is no excuse for stupidity.

Unlike some individuals, I actually check on forums and other discussion venues to see if my problems are isolated. If they are I keep my mouth shut or put up a disclaimer.

At the end of the day, I've used more phones than most people and I can tell a good platform from a bad one pretty quickly with my regiment. I don't care if you bet on the wrong horse, if it deserves to get put down I'm the first to call it. If your only defense is that "I'm just a fanboy" well then it proves my case, don't it? 🤣

to be honest the iPhones 3.2 shooter is on par if not better compared to other 3.2 cameras. But, even the Droid doesn't stand a chance to the Nokia N8... if you can survive Symbian.

Droid has a 2 LED flash, Iphone doesn't. I used the Nokia N95 for 2yrs, Symbian is a plenty fine OS, very customizable and lots of options.

symbian is ok.. its just not pretty(no 3d interface) and could really be slow at times(make that most of the time) but i find that many of their implementation is more intuitive, like simple texting(keyboard orientation)

Your right Scott; I for one can't believe the original agreement is still in effect. I would think by now that it has been suitably modified to allow enough wiggle room for either party to squirm free it they so desired.
However, having said that and reading about what a great deal ATT gives Apple in terms of money per phone plus other extras it seems that Apple may not be in a real rush to abandon the original agreement. Time will tell.

I agree plus the original engadget article is much more revealing than what is posted here.

Confirmed: Apple and AT&T signed five-year iPhone exclusivity deal -- but is it still valid?

The term of Apple and AT&T's iPhone exclusivity deal has long been a mystery -- although USA Today reported a five-year arrangement when the original iPhone came out in 2007, that number has never been independently confirmed, and it's been looking suspect in recent weeks as Verizon iPhone chatter has gotten louder. But we've been doing some digging and we can now confirm that Apple and AT&T entered into a five-year iPhone exclusive in 2007, based on court documents filed by Apple in California. Read on!

Here's the deal: an ongoing California class...
