"we hear your complaints and we are ignoring them."

You know what, I already posted a thread, but I have something else to say.

Google, with all of its happy, dancing in fields of daisy's mentality doesn't care. They are stretched so freaking thin I can't imagine them being able to handle problems with one of their legacy phones (the Nexus One)

The public message should have read;

"we hear your complaints and we are ignoring them... we have moved on to bigger and better things, newer versions of our devices and phones and quite frankly, Nexus One, you are old news"

Google, along with your complete lack of privacy safeguards, your customer service is going to be your downfall.

Good luck with the Incredible, and the Evo and all of the other phones you make in the next six mont...

I don't believe it is a Google software issue. I think the 3G reception issue is a T-Mobile issue because let's face it, T-Mobile's network is quite small compared to other carriers and it is not fully 3G.

I have pre-ordered (made a downpayment) my HTC Incredible for Verizon and I know it will work just fine, thank you...

It's a hardware issue. Google just posted a letter ADMITTING IT. and they are still not going to do a recall.

PS, check your facts before posting next time.

1. T-Mobiles' 3G network is small, but covers EVERY major city and most major highways. Over 200 million people.

2. T-Mobiles' 3G network runs almost 100% on 7.2 MBS, KILLING the speeds of all other carriers in almost all areas.

3. No carrier is "fully 3G" WTF??? how is that even a point?

4. Compared to other phones on T-MOBILE the Nexus One has some serious issues with 3G connectivity. Again proving it is a hardware/software issue.

Your incredible will probably work fine on Verizon, the company that charges you what, 2.99 for visual voicemail (something everyone ...

I have to disagree with you on your first point. T-Mobile's 3G network does NOT cover EVERY major city. Who gives a jack **** about visual voicemail? That's the most redundant feature/service ever. End of discussion.

Although in general T-Mobile doesn't have the coverage area that ATT or Verizon has, justfinethanku is right. This is a hardware issue and it is completely unprofessional for Google to announce its disregard for supporting the problems.
There have been several tests with other 3g phones running on the same T-Mobile network in the same areas and the issue is not the signal, it is how the device handles the signal. It constantly switches to 2g when it is in a full 3g area, the 3g speeds are lacking what they should be, and even the speeds of the 2g are weak (although they are weak to begin with, relatively it is even worse.)
I am a huge supporter of Open Source projects, and until now Google in general. But this is completely uncalled f...

But Google did not design the hardware in this case. HTC did. So why blame Google for hardware issues?

Because it is funded, sold, marketed, and supported by Google. The early termination fee (the extra one) is charged by Google, not HTC. A separate company manufactures the Iphone, but when people need support they go to Apple.

Don't all iphone owners HAVE to go to an apple store for any phone issues? Good thing they match every att store at a ratio of 1:1

Ywell I have issues with apple just as much as the next Open Source supporter (and countless others for that matter), however I was just using it as an example for why the blame here is on Google and not HTC.

Even if it is HTC's hardware that is the issue, because of the way in which the phone is distributed, Google needs to relay that blame to HTC privately, support a fix to the issues, and relay it back to their customers.

Oh yea, Google is definitely out of line here. I'm puzzled as to why they would treat their flagship device like that? T-mobile even. They don't appear to treat the network they launched on very well. Hopefully they'll change their stance on this.

And that's there because Tmobile won't give them crap until the customer is 6 months into the contract.

If anything, why in the world is Tmobile charging their full ETF considering they risk no money on the phone? If anything, they shouldn't charge an ETF AT ALL in the first 6 months, since if a customer cancels, the only company out money is Google.

Really? 2.99 for a feature I don't really need or don't have to download or can find a free app for?

Well that's it. F the incredible. I'm about to cancel my verizon contract right now!

This has nothing to do with T-Mobile's small 3G network. It's HTC's crappy chips that are having the issues.

That would mean the issue is most likely network related, or at worst hardware related, so no amount of software development will fix the issue. Why promise to continue development on a device you can't fix?

The people I know with the ATT banded N1 don't seem to have the 3g issues.

And yes, tmobile covers every major city, but it's spotty in that it's very susceptible to "move and you lose it" Yes, the N1 has more issues than normal, but if it's hardware like you are claiming, development means nothing.

And if you get visual voicemail on an android phone you're doing it wrong considering Google Voice is free, you can use your own number, but let google voice take over voicemail for you. Not to mention there are other visual voicem...

"or at worst hardware related"

It is hardware related. Recall the phone or send replacements for the hardware that is broken. Dude, really that's all I'm saying here. But instead Google responds by saying "we will NOT fix this problem for you"

"And if you get visual voicemail on an android phone you're doing it wrong considering Google Voice is free"

Fair enough, are they out of the invite-only stage with that yet?

"Not to mention there are other visual voicemail apps (most free) on the marketplace."

if your carrier allows free call forewarding it's free. I don't know if Verizon does or not.

"throwing money away for an issue that won't be solved."

They can solve it by doing what Motorola did with the sidekick slide...

You only need an invite to get a Google Voice number. you can use Google Voice with your current number (for free) without needing an invite. Verizon allows call forwarding without an issue (only way google voice would work). *72phonenumberyouwanttoforwardto from your handset will route any call to any other phone number you want. Google voice has it built in to configure your phone to foreward calls for you. I tested it for awhile, and it's pretty flawless.

Also, it's my understanding that the n1 comes preloaded with Google Voice, and an invite (though I haven't had an official confirmation on this)
