Everyone who installs it finds a way to pry it off their phone in a matter of days.

You gonna argue that Steve Jobs is wrong?

Its track record is poor when it comes to security, efficiency, stability, and updates.

Maybe it does have a poor track record, but until HTML 5 goes mainstream, its all we have for functionality that we have had for close to a decade now, thus expect even on a cellphone.

Android already has decent HTML5 support and H.264 support. It already has that for video. For things like games it may not work so well, but that's up to developers to write native versions of games for the OS.

How well do you think Flash games are going to play on an Android handset? Not very.

What makes you say that? Don't you think a game that uses flash would work just fine on a device such as the Incredible running a snapdragon processor?

Uhhh no. Just because it has a fast processor doesn't mean you're going to see excellent performance.

There's a variety of reasons, but my guess is that Adobe's going to half-ass its graphic library references and anything beyond a crude 2D game is going to perform poorly.

Those are all assumptions being made about something you don't know crap about. Good God you're annoying.

Why don't we actually wait to see what happens with the finished product instead of whining like girls? Yes? Yes.

even a slow flash game is better than no flash games, there is no reason other than stupidness that it shouldn't at least be an OPTION on every phone including MY iphone dangit.

Uh...

To encourage developers to NOT rely on putting out crappy Flash games and develop proper games for a platform?

do you see the Toyota or Ford stopping the production of gas burning cars for cleaner solutions just because it's better? No because there are a very small number of distributors of the other fuel types in the US so tehy would produce these cars then people could buy them and not be able to use them... It's a rough example but it's what Apple is doing with Flash

Well you actually do in terms of CAFE regulations and EPA emissions requirements. That's why you don't see any smoggy diesels in the U.S. in passenger cars.

yeh but they didn't implement those until there were viable alternatives(meaning they could be used on a large scale) and currently html5 is not that. anyways just my 2c

Jobs is full of crap.

Flash gives me the Interweb just fine. When and if HTML5 gets here en masse, then we'll see, won't we?
