It has a better screen, a way faster processor and im sure some other features that the eris does not have. The faster the phones get the better ANDROID is getting. I have a MOTO DROID now and I cant wait to get this phone.

Why waist your money on this if you already have the Moto Droid? The only major thing you will get is a 8 mega pixal camera and a "snapdragon" processor THAT WILL NOT BE RUNNING 1 GHZ. The phone will be underclocked due to battery life.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

1) Significantly faster processor

2) Because of the processor and other upgrades. This phone WILL play flash when it is released. Adobe said the Eris/Hero will not.

3)Twice the screen resolution of the Eris

4)out of the box 2.1 (though you should get this on the eris soon)

5) 8GB of internal memory.

6) Higher MP camera (we'll see how this improves pictures)

It is a HUGE upgrade from the eris

How many olympic medals would michael johnson have won if he could only run on 20% of the track, and had to slow down to a walk for the rest?

Fast is great, but I prefer broader coverage. Most of us don't get to use our phones in the lab test environment. Real world connectivity matter more than a slight speed difference.

You don't have the same coverage. NO OTHER CARRIER has the 3g footprint of Verizon, and even in mobile speed tests, the average download speeds of a verizon phone arn't much lower than ATT's (though att has a much higher peak)

Verizon never claimed to be the fastest, they claimed to be the most consistent. Which study after study show them to be.

And I'm pulling 1.7mbs in the middle of nowhere, where every other carrier is 1x/edge so yes, I prefer my "slow" speeds to speeds I could get every other month if I travel to NYC

I have the Eris and I love the phone, but I'm still p-a-t-i-e-n-t-l-y waiting for the 2.1 upgrade that I'm starting to believe will never come... 😡

Well the excuse was that HTC hadn't written sense for 2.1 obviously now they have. So, unless they come up with a new excuse, it shouldn't take too much longer.
