Apparently no one here has had Clearwire wireless internet or else people would not be so hyped about it.
Just curious, will this mean TMobile will start having 700 dollar EFT's also?

Wow $700 etfs, boy are you just propaganda!!!

Clear is THE ONLY company currently delivering a TRUE wireless broadband to consumers. Yes, I had Clear, they are a fine company. Speeds are advertised, 3-6mbps, with bursts of up to 10, I've even gotten 15mbps before.

Clear is the real deal! I had to drop them recently cause I had to minimize my budget recently.

This is 1st hand information, no propaganda! Clear is the ONLY TRUE wireless broadband provider.

Here, in Reno NV, I am paying, after equipment rental, just shy of 50 a month for a 2 Meg signal that is capped on how much I can download (and what I can download, such as P2P blocking.)
I do have to say though that they have loosened their reigns on those restrictions, though, they are still there.
And there is indeed a 700 dollar EFT if I were to cancel.
After I can cancel with Clearwire, I am totally getting an aircard, probably with Sprint.

I didn't know Clear has WiMAX service in Reno. Clear doesn't have a data limit. And if your only getting 2mbps then you should call tech support.

Where this BS comes from about a $700etf I don't have a clue, a company will only charge you what it cost to subsidize a device.

When I had Clear I wasn't under contract, I just paid $50 for a usb modem, and was all set.

Your on Clearwire Pre-WiMax not Clear WiMax. Once that market is upgraded big changes should happen as to how it is operated.

I'm more concerned about the 2.5ghz frequency Clear operates on. It's not particularly good for indoor building penetration.

Yep, I can testify to that.
Though sometime in the next 20 months I'm sure WiMAX Release 2 will be a much, much more efficient technology.
