Apple really is going after Google.

Most of the patent infringements are SOFTWARE based, which is Android. HTC builds only phones and installs software on them, be it Android or Windows mobile. The gesture "swipe to unlock" can be changed via over the air software update if Google so desired.
This is an indirect attempt from Apple to go after Google. The reason they don't go after Google directly is Google could seriously hurt Apple financially. This is an indirect way for Apple to hinder Google's attempt at entering the smart-phone industry. I would bet money that Google will "behind the scenes" help HTC as this provides a rare opportunity for them to go after Apple without any risk of loss to themselves. Think...about the weight Google has on information FLOW.
