I stay with VM cause its the cheapest service you can buy as far as pre paid goes. And now they want you to do a contract through sprint? this is a load of crap.

Boost is just like VM, no roaming charges because it cannot roam. Virgin Mobile uses Sprint's towers only, Boost uses Nextel's towers only.

Boost is slowly moving its customers to the new CDMA phones (Sanyo Mirro, Sanyo Incognito and Blackberry 8330) When that is complete the iDen network will be dispensed of in some way.
I believe but may be incorrect that Sprint will meld Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile into a single brand.

Hey Ruler -

If you're on the prepaid plan on VM you don't have to switch to a contract plan on Sprint. That's only if you are currently a VM postpaid customer. You have the option to switch over to Sprint and they will give you a discount on a phone if you do.

I like VM prepaid and will definitely stay with them.

Yes, guys, the article is not very well written and a little confusing. It's only for the POSTPAID customers. Virgin purchased Helio, which is a contract service. They are ditching that because it makes no sense to have it. It's only those people who are on that plan. Virgin Mobile is not getting out of the business of prepaid....they are a cash cow for Sprint and a good brand. So don't you guys fret! I love my service. Been with them for over two years now. I think they have some exciting new phones and features coming in the next couple of months too.

If you think Sprint is a rip-off, what about all of the other post-paid companies whose plans are way mor expensive?

Go Tmobile Ive had just about everybody post paid and prepaid! and always wind up back with Tmobile sticking with them got the phone I want at the prices I want Everyone is gonna find something wrong with something guess that's why we have choices. I just think ive come to find that GSM is easier to switch around with AT&T and Verizon are the two biggest rip offs! though.
