I live in Missouri and I've been waiting for this. I'm 15, and I cannot stand texting and driving. My friends do it and make them stop. Quite honestly I'm glad this is happening. Even though older people text less, they're more dangerous than a teen texting in some cases. I was in the car and there was a women [probably in her 60's] texting in the car next to us, and she was swerving all over the road. We honked at her and she gave us a nasty look and kept doing it. At least my friends can still drive while texting.
Regardless, it's a dumb thing to do and I cannot believe there are people who say it's not a bad thing... 😕

I'm 24, and yes...I text while driving. The only difference is I *NEVER* make sending a text my priority, and I always do it on stretches of road where using two hands isn't really required (Long stretches of highway, stop signs/lights, etc.) The police here nail you if you text, they nail you if you're talking...so I think the state needs to take some of those tax dollars it didn't return last year and give everyone a bluetooth voucher so we can at least talk if need be.
