What has happened here is AT&T has put too much relliance on the IPhone, people are more mobile now, we all travel way mmore than we used to, and being able to work just at your home location isnt going to cut it anymore. The one thing that verizon did well was expand, aquiring and posting new towers like nuts AT&T did not grow quite as much, so while it might be a great service in cities and some other places....I will ALWAYS go with the service that works over the largest area for both calling and data which is verizon, reliability is way more important then trendy gadgets to me, because when i drive from my house to florida for disney, and it doesnt work when i get a flat to make a phone call...will i really give a crap if it has th...

att has more money than verizon. they will pay whatever they have to, to make sure the iphone stays on att.

on another note, att really has no interest in expanding their 3g to places that dont have it right now. they are investing the majority of their money adding 850 to existing 3g areas and expanding out existing 3g areas with more towers. they also are developing their lte so in their minds....what's the point? do i agree with the fact that att's 3g is not as expansive as verizon? yes. do i agree with their decision to not bring 3g to more areas at this time? no. i live in stl so it isn't a problem for me but for all the calls i take on that issue? have fun on edge?

att is a global entity. i'm not strickly talking about the wirless industry either. it is the leader in land line services and has been around longer than anyone else. after the merger of sbc they are officially a super power. i dont believe any other phone company,(wireless or otherwise) can touch att's money $$$.

with what proof? it's all speculation right now. it would make no sense for apple to regress in technology.

You know what doesn't make sense? Ignoring eighty million potential customers. Hell, AT&T Mobility cannot support the customers they currently have. Does Apple want another ten million to leave Verizon and bog down AT&T's network? ( 🤣 Yeah, I know AT&T is drooling at the idea).

Apple is bringing the iphone to Verizon. Sure it is ALL rumor and speculation. The original iphone was rumor which Apple denied repeatedly until it became a reality. Apple will deny, deny, deny...just as they did before until THEY are ready to release the information. Qualcomm's Worldmode chip makes it happen.
