Data prices ($30 for Unlimited, $45 for Enterprise Unl) won't be seeing any changes anytime soon. Then again, AT&T is very slow to announce (and enact, for that matter) changes, so it may come down later.

However, if there was a plan price change, that would have been by agreement with AT&T and Apple, and would have been communicated immediately (ie - in the Keynote). Since it wasn't announced then, and there's no upcoming changes to price plan structure at AT&T, it's almost certain not to change for the forseeable future.

you do realize that ALL PDA ('smartphones') have the same data plan correct? Blackberies, Samsung Jack, Nokia e71, etc. They all have a $30 per month data plan because those phones use data more heavily than other phones.

I don't see how it sucks when Verizon is also the same prices for the same caliber of phones.

sprint can't do voice and data at once. as well as depending on your location their service can be quite terrible. i know in my area is absolute crap. but you have your opinion. just make sure you don't go over your 5GB data cap...

sprints website seems to indicate that roaming minutes are NOT included in your unlimited plan. as well as if your phone is used as a modem then the cap is enforced there.

i stand corrected on the cap. apologies.

While I'm not a fan of Sprint, or even the Pre, I will give you that, it is a great deal, if you need it. But the cost difference of a G1, iphone, Storm or base Pre plan is not vastly different. Especially if you have a family plan, less so for a single line.

Sprint's network is also nowhere near the same (in terms of coverage) as ATT.

Sprint is an amazing value if you are always in their coverage area.

I heard unlimited data on phone, and $70 total to tether, given the 5 gig limit of course, but this goes against what the Curve is with tethering on Verizon. (60 total.) Usually AT&T will keep pricing similar to VZ.
