Does it seem like several companies "accidentally" release products on their website and then retract them, as if they're trying to get a buzz out there about the product? Seems kinda fishy to me...

Actually Sprint fully intended to launch it this weekend but with inventory arriving slow and a big training push underway they pushed to 2/15.

That's absolutely correct.

In fact I just got my pop material for the PRO today and I'm pissed cuz I'm not allowed to put it out just yet because of this whole launch delay. Ridiculous.

I think the Pro should have been released a few months ago when I first discovered it on the Palm website because the Pre is going to completely overshadow the damn thing...

I mean, why do we need an update to the 800w anyway? We have one on display in the store, but we never get any shipments for them because - OH! GUESS WHAT!? SPRINT CUSTOMERS DON'T BUY THEM! And honest to God, I think the only positive attention the PRO will get is going to be because of how sleek it is and thin... a lot of current 800w users complain about the thickness of it.

Thank you for that wonderful addition to the topic.

I'm not necessarily referring to the PRO being the only one who had this happen, but more that it seems to happen with some phones that are supposed get hyped up.

The 800w is going to be replaced by this and it is needed.

This has the HTC Task manager on the top right corner of the screen like the Touch Pro, Sprint Music store, 1500mAH vs 1150mAH battery, 400mhz vs 333mhz processor, and 3.5mm vs NO audio jack, built in YouTube app, and not to mention a flush touchscreen and thinner body on the phone.

This is a very solid, sexy looking WinMo Treo.
