Sprint owns a 51% stake in the new Clearwire corp. Cannot be a MVNO of a company ya own a majority share in. They are partners in a national deployment of a 4g network.
The way it's structured, Sprint will act as a MVNO. The newly merged Clearwire, of which Sprint owns 51%, shall be independent from and managed separately from Sprint Nextel. Operating as separate companies, Sprint will act as a MVNO to Clearwire's WiMax network. Sprint Nextel will not be running Clearwire.
