Even if they did restrict tethering, you know services like davinciteam.com would eventually offer an unbranded firmware for it eventually. They did not restrict the tethering on any of the windows mobile phones. (as far as i know. i used to tether with my dash all the time. Even came with it's own software to do it)

Wow do you even know what your talking about? There are hardly any specs known about this phone. Sorry we can't release a phone with a 20in screen so you can watch tv on it. Plus most tmobile, if not all, support tethering. Next time do us all a favor and think before typing.

You can get those working by setting your TCP to wap.voicestream.com in most phones I've worked with. It's not that hard to insert one extra setting to be able to use all that. 😉

I'm not an Internet expert, but it sounds like you are just describing the standard wap APN.

None of that changes the fact that the phones will not allow internet access for any application not signed by T-Mobile.

Only Blackberry and Windows phones escape this.

They had to change it because it made it extremely easy to use the 5.99 tzones for full internet access. And people that savy tend to use it more, so the company was losing money on it.

Unfortunatly, as with most things that are taken away, the few ruin it for the rest.
