Sprint Revamps Plan Pricing
Not good for me!
I'm looking to sign up for a new contract.
Current offering:
Family 700 plan - $69.99
Extra line - $9.99
Extra line - $9.99
Unlimited Family Text - $20
Internet and Email on 1 phone - $15
Total = $124.97
June 15:
It looks like the new $69.99 plan cannot add family text and internet/email on 1 line?
So, I would have to go with
Family 1500 - $129.99
Extra line - $19.99
Extra line - $19.99
Total = 169.97
Ouch!

I thought the family plan included 2 phones in the main plan, then you get charged 9.99 for each additional. That means the 3rd line would be the only one charged the 9.99/19.99. I also have never had to change my plan when I renewed my agreement with them.....so it might not be so bad!!! 😁

The rates have already changed. As of today. You may add data to only one line if you wish..... another positive is that with the new plans, messaging includes picture and video mail, which were previously only covered with internet packages..... All things considered, you get a lot more for only $10 more.

the family 1500 already includes 1500 minutes, web & data access unlimited text messaging and starts with two phones. That aint bad at all for $129.99.

I also agree, I still have my old plan where I am only charged $5.00 for 50 minutes when I go over my anytime minutes, they have not had this plan for awhile. I only needed to agree to stay 2 years only to get the new phones.

I am a Sprint store rep and if you decide to sign up for a new plan this is how it would work:
Talk/Message Share 1500 - $99.99 (first 2 lines)
Extra line - $9.99
Extra line - $9.99
Internet and email on 1 phone - $15
Total = $134.97
Keep in mind this is for a total of 4 phones.
You are only paying $10 more for 800 more minutes. The plan you were referring to for $129.99 is to have unlimited internet and text messaging on ALL of your phones. If you go with the $99.99 plan it is just for the text messaging on all phones and thus it is only $9.99 for an additional line. Plus, if you are eligible for a discount through your employer it may even be less. Let me know when you'd like me to ship you the phones :-) haha

Data included add a lines for $19.99, holy crap this is awesome! PLUS, unlimited data now includes GPS navigation.
Another key point djnik26 made is the company discounts, practically everyone qualifies for some kind of discount, i.e. 10% credit union member discount, employee discounts with thousands of companies anywhere from 5% to 25+%, public sector discount of 15% for anyone with fed/state/local departments!!

No there arent any SPRINT corporate locations that can do this. We dont price match in the stores, the one thing that you might be able to get in a Sprint store is for them to give you the mail in rebate instantly
