to the June 1 release date. I mean I know they dont ever stick to a date but they had this phone on the website months in advance and told us June 1st, everything is gonna change. Keep pushing it back and 3g iphone will beat it to the market.

On a side note, I was in a sprint store today and talking to a manager about the instinct. He said they didnt know which plan you were gonna have to use with the instinct but that there was going to be an additional $20 plan for it just like the iphone he said.

a lot of this is untrue. I work at a corp store and they never said June 1st, just June. Lastly you will not have an additional 20$. It will be required however that you have a Everything plan. Weather that is a everything 450/900 or the unlimited plan, of course.

Also a store employee here, and i've heard nothing about REQUIRING an everything plan, which would just be nonsense anyway because they are just power packs combined with unlimited services added on for the exact same cost in some cases $5 or so less AS a power pack (with the exception of Simply, of course.) And as far as the June 1st date, uh, yeah, that was everywhere.

Just like everything in todays market, the release date is always subject to change. Just because it says sprint you are going to complain. Also there has yet to be any information relased to any of the sprint stores as far as the rate plans and what will be needed to get a promo price. So until there is any hard facts don't take someones word as gold.

Ok family... this is the deal, what it was said was that it is coming in June not June 1st, you will need a Simply Everything plan, any of them.
And the only thing that the iPhone might have on the Instinct is the storage if that.

This cant be true about the price plan because the simply everything plan runs out on the 31 of this month. Just look on any phone plan brochure or flyers you have in store. Why would Sprint sell a phone to only a few million customers and not all of them, makes no sense. Have heard from corp. meeting this plan will not be around after the 1st

Yup, I work in NSS (national sales support) and we actually received an email stating the sales brochures were incorrect as far as the expiration date for those plans go and that they will be removed from all sales locations and replaced with new brochures. Also, we have had training on the Instinct specifically and you DO have to have the Simply Everything Plans to purchase the phone. Initially the phone will only be offered to existing customers. Also, they is a new Simply Family plan coming out that will be much better than the way they were setup originally. 😁

This is taken from the website www.nowisgood.com and looks like whoever said that the phone requires an everything plan 450/900/simply was correct.
--------------------------------------------- - 😁
Purchase of the Instinct requires activation on an Everything plan, starting at $69.99. Existing customers can switch to Everything plans without extending their contract. New line activations require a two-year agreement. Instinct requires an Everything plan for key features to function appropriately. Customers currently may not switch to a service plan for the Instinct other than an Everything plan. GPS reliability varies by environment. Coverage is not available everywhere. Offers not available in all markets/retail locations or for all netw...

That is so short sighted!! What about a person who is in a family plan. He is basically going to have to double his bill in order to have this phone.

Sprint really pisses me off sometimes. Sure they want to push the everything plans, but requiring a customer to have an everything plan in order to get this phone is asinine.

I'm no longer excited about this phone. I was going to get it, and even willing to extend my contract - but to have to break up my family plan in order to get it is not going to happen. I'll just jump carriers after my contract is done - I've had enough of Sprint.

the one thing that you really need is a data plan, they recommend the Simply Everything, but you can have it with a family plan as long as you have a vision plan.

Actually they will have a everything plan for familys. It is a stretch but there will be two family plans. 1500 minute plan including two lines with add a lines at 19.99. This plan will include unlimited data and text. There will also be a 3000 minute plan with the same features at 169.99 for two lines add a lines at 19.99. I am one of those Instinct specialists so if you have any questions feel free to ask. For those of you who work for sprint there is training on the phone available in ilearn. The rest of the info is being destributed through conference calls and webcasts.

How much will the 1500 minute plan be? I currently have a family plan with 1440 minutes and three other phones on it. I'm topping out at around $197 without taxes. This is looking like a better deal.

the simply everything plans wont even be around when this phone comes out good sir. The simply everything plans are set to expire on may 31st of this year. Please dont feel upset by other people and them telling you that you need a simply everything plan, wait til the phone comes out then go into the nearest sprint store and ask how to get the Instinct

Stop saying the everything plans are going away!

That is just when the literature expires. Every piece of lit has an expiration date on it.
For example, the power pack plans, which have been available for near 2 years, every one of those brochures says they expire a certain date.
For example 2, the referral brochure i have in my hand right now says it expires 12/31/07.
They all have an expiration, and most of the time, it doesnt matter one iota..

did you ever hear of the thank you troops offer? IS that still around? No it isnt, you shouldn't say things just on your on heresay. This meeting is where they will describe the new commission structure, for retail reps, I again couldnt beleive it when they said that the simply everything plan is going to go away. All of those commercials. That stuff gets expensive.

it was a limited time offer guys, seriously... Just like when Nextel initially offered unlimited voice service for $99 YEARS ago... Limited time. Now that same plan is $199.99. Its a pissing contest, and Sprint will only keep the stream going as long as the other big boys are doing it, and theyre ALL ending, so thats that.

ugh.. you people just dont want to listen to those of us that know WTF we are talking about.

THE LIT EXPIRES.. THE LITTLE PIECE OF PAPER.. THAT IS WHAT EXPIRES, SO THEY CHANGE THE DESIGN, OR THE LAYOUT (REMEMBER, BROCHURES USED TO BE A FLIP BOOK, NOT A ROAD MAP). THE NFYOU UPGRADE LIT "EXPIRES" EVERY FEW MONTHS, YET MIRACULOUSLY, ITS STILL AROUND.

OK I just talked about this the other day at our call center and NO IT IS NOT GOING AWAY! actually it is evolving, as of June 15 there will be new options for the Simply Everything plans that were not available before. Actually, you couldn't be more wrong....what are you, some kind of kiddie troll? The everything plans are definitely not going away....in fact, most will be pleasantly surprised with the new plan offerings coming out 6/15/08.

Why don't you do some research before trolling the board with your childish, boring drivel?

Do you have to have one of the everything plans to get a smartphone right now? No. So, they will not make it any different for the instinct. I could be wrong here, but i am 95% sure if you are on a family plan you will just be required to have a $25 or $30 plus MRC data pack in order to get the mail in rebate or something like that. BUT, for individual plans it will have to be on an everything plan.

So, go in to your local sprint store and check it out when it releases. Blanket statements don't work in every situation
