Gee, which carrier will they choose?

Given Sprint's current state of affairs, it wouldn't be surprising they may be handed off to another company.

I would definately agree. Verizon seems more likely.

Try to do some research before posting...Come on now...the article even STATED it was part of Sprint. But I can understand why someone wouldn't want to admit to being a part of Sprint 🤣

Not exactly. When the Sprint/Nextel merger was approved, what is now Embarq was a divestiture, IIRC, as a spin-off. I even remember reading an article about a year ago or so that the CEO of Embarq said that giving up the Sprint name was a blessing for the company.

Embarq used to be part of the Sprint company, but now is independent. I'm sure there are still certain ties, but I'm sure the apron strings are getting longer and thinner by the day.

If it were Qwest, I'd say it's a better chance that VZW would get it , but Embarq is still pretty tight with sprint. It'll be only a small gain for whichever carrier gets them.

at the moment, I'll go with you and say sprint, judging fro mtheir lin of phones too
