AT&T Stepping Up 3G Network Coverage

More 3G bars in more places?

There are so many areas that don't even have a single cell site with 3G on it, if they are adding 80 additional cities, that doesn't make them even close to half of their entire network 3G capable.

If they want to catch up, I hope they are focusing on interstate highways and covering their company owned stores, there are two stores in my area that have been waiting on 3G service since 2006.

probably not. at&t doesn't want 3G everywhere because that would cost money and ed whiticre wants them to pay for his jet, not 3G.

it doesnt cost as much as you think. Its actually it costs less to build and maintain a 3G network over a 2.5G

Ed Whitacre is on longer part of AT&T. And yes, just like the other guy said in prev post. It's cheaper to maintain a 3G network.

Yeah, but it makes crackberry feel all so superior and cool to talk crap like it being cheaper as well as Ed and his jet. More likely crackberry's upset didn't get the assistant managers position at the AT&T kiosk in the local mall.
