Gosh!!! Your right, both Buffalo, and Syracuse should be 3G cities by now!!!

Who knows, maybe T-Mobile will cash in on Cingulars PROCRASTINATION and launch 3G in cities that Cingular doesn't yet have 3G.

I could've sworn I read an article saying that Cingular has achieved it's goal of the 100 biggest markets, @ that point I just assumed that most of the country was covered.

Well that can't be right because Pittsburgh is still M.I.A. when it comes to HSDPA and it was the largest market for wireless contracts just a few short years ago. And they're 53 as far as POPs go.

So I'm not buying into the 100 biggest markets thing if they did say it.

Appearently Cingular still has a very, very long ways to go.

Well, I'm lucky Las Vegas is such an international city, with over 44 million tourists annually, perhaps that helped in being one of the initial 16 cities.

Have you bother to call 611 and complain, or inquire??? I'm curious. '08 really isn't all that far away.

That's just frinkin pathetic!

Well, I live in Las Vegas, I'm not waiting on Cingular to deliver on 3G here, but I am waiting for Cingular to deliver MobileTv, SUPPOSEDLY the 4th Qtr of this year.

Personally, I think it would be wise, when Tmobile is ready to launch they're 3G network that they captitalize on any cities that Cingular doesn't have 3G, such as L.A., and Pittsburgh, and Buffalo.

Well, with the current Qualcomm ban, that may not happen as planned.

I do believe Qualcomm has FULL rights to MediaFLO, MediaFLO is a subsidiary of Qualcomm.

Yes, that is correct. But, because it was found that Qualcomm has violated a patent of Broadcom, there is currently a ban on importing any new models of phones that use Qualcomm chipsets with the disputed patent.

Since AT&T has not officially launched MediaFLO services and started importing those phones for sale for the service, those would also fall under the ban as well.

This frinkin patend disput really, really needs to be handled in a TIMELY FASHION!!!

Besides, when it comes to radio technologies, doesn't Qualcomm know a lot more of about they're doing than Broadcom???
