True. Do not know why Motorola would make a more higher end phone and only offer 2, 4, 5, 12, and 66 LTE bands. No band 71 for T-Mobile, no band 13 for Verizon, no band 17, 29, and 30 for AT&T.

It is.
Motorola explained to us that they received feedback from US customers who wanted access to Motorola One models, many of which have only been available overseas.
But Motorola is only making the Hyper available on motorola.com, not Amazon, etc. So it's not a serious effort to sell a lot of these in the US.
In other words, this model was not designed with the US in mind, but they're making an awkward, minimal effort to throw a bone to their most ardent US fans.

Motorola seems unenthusiastic to compete with the Samsung Iphone duopoly. There is much potential with them like with the Moto G when it was a real hit when it first was introduced. Many manufacturers need to have the same access to the US market.
