Where were these state attorneys when other big corporations were merging? Sprint and T-Mobile won’t survive long term without each other’s assets or customer base. Eventually, the duopoly of Verizon and AT&T would crush them to bits.

Congrats to these useless morons for delaying the inevitable by making themselves appear useful when they really aren’t.

T-mobile gains more than any other company over the last like 5 years and they are actually profitable. Now do they make as much as the big 2 no. But they don't need Sprint and would survive without this merger. A better merger would be Dish and T-mo less debt **** load of spectrum and possibility of UNCARRIERING the bundle cable market. So you dumb asss hell if you think T-mob needs sprint they have nationwide 600mhz

I agree that T-Mobile doesn't need Sprint to survive but Sprint certainly needs T-Mobile. If this merger falls through (which it won't) Sprint will be unable to compete in the 5G arena. They do not have to funds to build out a nationwide 5G network that can compete with the other three.

Sprint's last and final hope of survival is a merger. If not, they will fail and we will be left with three major carriers anyways.

If the merger doesn’t go through, Sprint would fail first, but then T-Mobile wouldn’t have their spectrum, which is significant, nor their network. Ultimately, T-Mobile would fail as a result.

You're probably right. But Dish has never really shown any true interest in building out a network. They've only shown themselves out to be spectrum hoarders. They blatantly lied to the FCC about their intentions and got away with buying spectrum for cheap and trying to pass it off to likes of Verizon and AT&T in order to make a profit. Only problem was that the big 2 aren't interested. So Dish kept holding out for some sucker to buy it from them at their ridiculous high price. Now they got this deal going with T-Mobile but the only reason they're doing it is because their spectrum was due to expire next year and now with this new deal they'll be penalized billions by 2023 or something like that if they don't follow through with their plans....

Well.. as someone who travels the country and has an account with both carriers..

Sprint since the Nextel merger, has always been just a "do the bare minimum and use gimmicks to keep customers around", while T-Mobile actually put their money where their mouth is and ACTUALLY expanded coverage, while working on things like outsourced CS and antiquated policies.

T-Mobile ACTUALLY using Sprint's 2.5GHz and PCS holdings to it's full potential is most likely the best outcome for everyone, and will create a network that can actually compete with Verizon and AT&T in a few years (now having the capacity to do so), as all that spectrum with Sprint is honestly just a huge waste in it's current usage.

Dish, I like the idea of making Charlie ac...
