Eric, I enjoy your reviews but there's one area you didn't do your homework on. It's ok because most of your colleagues do it as well. I sold my XA2 Ultra after about a week because of cellular performance. You didn't mention that while it does offer the newer Band 29 and 66, this phone doesn't support VoLTE or Wi-Fi calling on T-Mobile.

My only other gripe was the size of the icons - they're Mr. Magoo-sized and not customizable.

Long-press any empty home screen panel, hit "Settings", and hit "Icon Size" to change the icons from large to small and back again. (Mr. Magoo is YOU, too old to figure it out...)

If you want WiFi calling on T-Mobile, buy a T-Mobile subsidized phone and leave the unlocked global GSM phones to the rest of us. (I personally don't want T-Mobile WiFi Calling in my settings menu, in case I don't want to use goddamn T-Mobile; otherwise it just becomes unnecessary settings menu bloatware.)

As for VoLTE, it's fully capable. I've made VoLTE calls on all Sony phones for the last few years using both AT&T and T-Mobile in the U.S.
