Looking at the specs (http://www.blackberry.com/products/blackberr y8700/blackberry8703e.shtml#specs), it appears that the 8703e is slightly thicker than the 8700c (http://www.blackberry.com/products/handhelds /blackberry8700c.shtml), and has a significantly weaker battery (8 days standby & 3.3 hrs talk time, vs. 16 days standby & 4 hrs talk time for the Cingular version).

Given that the poor battery performance is one of the biggest complaints I've heard about the 8700c, this makes me worry. I had been holding out for the Verizon 8700, but now I'm thinking I may need to hold out for the Verizon 8100 (Pearl). 3.3 hours of talk time just doesn't sound like enough.

I think if you compare the VZW 7130e vs Cingular 7130c youwill see similar disparity. Its due to the CDMA vs GSM technology.
