DOT Wants to Block Most Phone Apps In Moving Cars

Why don't they require NFC tags on all alcohol and integrated systems in new vehicles that determine the location of your alcohol and ensure it's locked in the trunk. And lets require all manufacturers of bags and purses to have a mechanism that prevents the bag from being unzipped while the car is moving. Likewise, all cosmetics should be required to have a self-locking mechanism in order to prevent the application of makeup while driving. And lets make drive-thru lines illegal in order to ensure no one is eating while they are driving.

Or we could just have penalties for distracted driving, some quite serious, if a police officer observes your behavior or if you are involved in an accident. One idea seems to be needlessly costly, overl...
