i have no idea why in the world they didn't have VCast this way to begin with. i mean, who really want to pay $15 a month so that they can then pay $2 a song? I bet it will be much more effective to let anybody look at music regardless of a vcast package.
vcast needs to have some better stuff with it, or verizon just needs to give consumers a better idea of what benefits it offers. most people just aren't that into on-phone entertainment yet.

For the record, the ability to buy songs sans subscription (internally called open access) has been available for about a month now on all vcast music phones, just not "official" till now...

Also for the record, I argued that this should be the approach since day 1 of vcast music, but oh well...

I know for a while there was an additional carrot of 4-5 free songs that could be downloaded either from the PC of the handset. I know that they were preselected (and usually stunk! 😡 ). Do you know if that practice continues today? I can't find anything on the VCast music website, and I am using an older computer (WIN 9😎, so I can't get into WM 10 to check it out there.
