I just used etrade debit card on another bank ATM, they charge 3.50$ fee. etrade will refund/credit back those fees to my account ! all you need is a maintain a balance of 5000$ **or** trade stocks 30 times in a quarter (90 days). that average 10 trades a month, that's only 5 buy and 5 sell.

you don't need a broker, just go to etrade.com and open an account. you buy and sell stocks on computer or on the cellphone.
