I could say the same thing about an iphone 6 Plus, $949 for the 128GB version. Oh wait, because its an "apple product" designed in california and made in china, its fine. I'm not saying that I agree with the price of these phones, but at least this company is doing something different instead of catching up to the rest like apple with the iphone.

Ding ding ding! Winner!!! Even the 64 gig 6 Plus can be up to $900 unlocked depending on the retailer. And guess what...the GS6 has a similar pricing structure. I'm guessing most people don't go for the 128 gig option though, especially with all the cloud services being pushed nowadays, I mean Google themselves have tried to get people more on the cloud.

I too am not 100% sure about this Turing phone and how good it will be, and no phone is perfect which means there will be cons, but the price will hardly be one of them.

Is it required that both ends of the conversation be on a Turing phone? I believe that is how Blackphone works.

Point made, but we are talking an Android device, there are quite a few with similar or better spec's for far less. And many from companies that we have heard about.

Amazing. This article doesn't have a damn thing to do with Apple, but you manage to troll Apple as the sole point of your post anyway. Fandroid trolls like you are incapable of much else, with your hard wired little brains.

You probably spend your time angrily browsing Apple's website, bitterly jerking yourself off.

When I started this poast, I had no specific brand or phone OS in mind, nor intended. I just thought a near unheard of company, with a concept idea using already dated technology (which can be OK if priced righr) was a bit over the top. It had nothing to do with Apple or Samsung and what they charge. BTW the LG G4 is about the same price or cheaper bought locked or unlocked with better spec's.

Even so, any of the companies mentioned above have pretty good customer support if anything goes wrong. People get all worked up over some security feature which I doubt real serious anyone here needs. And if anyone thinks they need something with a tad more secure, get a new Blackberry, or get a Nexus 6 from Motorola or Google and wear a tin...

LOL you calling me an android fanboy, and look who comes to Apple's rescue? I had the first 3 generations of iPhones, and the truth is that I got tired of paying a premium price for last year technology and features. Whatever you say about Android fans/users could be said about Apple fan/users (which you just demonstrated how they act when the name Apple comes up in a sentence). BTW jerking off to phones is not my thing no matter who makes them, that has to be some Apple users bs to be jerking off to any new bs that Apple releases.
