Just wait -- once our illustrious government manages to gain control over the Net, they'll eventually start taxing its use.

That is definitely part of the Endgame. Do you remember a few years ago when they were announcing "internet 2.0"? It included some sort of Digital ID that would be required to log in at all. Look at the language in Tom's statement. He talks about having equal access to "all legal content". That is nothing but a code word. What this really means is that the FCC will also be deciding what is legal content and will have inmediate kill switches to block websites on the fly. Expect even more executive fiat mandates that will add even more reasons to be deemed illegal or blockable.
This failed a few years ago mainly because they were so open about the plan. Now they are hiding their intentions by disguising it as an "equal rights for all" issue....
