Other than NFC not a single useful sensor. Do yourself a favor get a CA-201L (j) instead.

This thing while it may look nice to some extremists it doesn't have any sensors that are currently in newer phones out and is bulky as ****. If i wanted something like this i would buy a sheepphone and a lunatik tactik case.

Don't let this company fool you. They hyped this device up royally. And i'm a little disappointed phonescoop would even do a review on it.

Unless you are a alaskan rock climbing motocross driver this is a complete waste of money.

...Don't pay any attention to the above opinion. My work-issued Sonim is very rugged and also water resistant. Otterboxes and other covers won't give devices the level of protection that are built in to these phones.

Bulky? Yeah, so are all six inch smartphones. If you want small and lightweight, find a Moto V-60 on Ebay.

Do you use your work-issued Sonim with Sprint Direct Connect? If so, how is SDC + Sonim working for your company overall? Or is your company using a PTT app instead of true SDC?

Thanks.

Sprint SDC is working very well with the Sonim phones that have the updates. Occasionally, it will still glitch, but it's pretty rare now.

I also use Zello's PTT app on my Galaxy Tab 3. Unfortunately, Sprint Direct Connect Now is incompatible with my device -- otherwise, I would've gone that route instead.

Thanks for the info, it's good to know the Sonims & SDC are working well for your company.

SDC on our Torques is working fairly well, but it still glitches a few times a week and refuses to DC even though it has 3G or 4G signal...occasionally requires restart of one of the phones.

We're trialing ESchat (http://www.sla-ptt.com/) and it works very well so far (carrier-agnostic, via...

How did I know I would find you commenting on this phone 🤣

This seems like an excellent option for those who need PTT, it would be really nice to see Sprint offer this phone, as well as AT&T as with the xp6. They should both offer the XP7 though.

It sounds like you really like the ESChat app. I've never heard of that one, I'll have to give that a closer look.

I've had Zello and Voxer installed side-by-side on my S4 for work now for a few months, and I love Zello and how reliable it is, and the group chat is very nice. I love how you can search for a public group and listen in to chats about certain topics. Unfortunately I don't know many people who use the app, and I know plenty of people who I use Voxer with on a daily basis,...

Thanks for the info on your use of Zello & Voxer, always good to hear people's real-world feedback.

I am interested in the Sonim XP7, because I only like ruggedized phones, and it's hard to not have all of the conveniences of a touchscreen smartphone these days.

Our Kyocera Torques are OK, but they have been a big disappointment in many ways...a good start for Kyocera and Sprint Direct Connect (SDC), but very weak execution on Kyocera's part, and no leadership from Sprint...still too many bugs in the Torque and there is nowhere for us to turn for decent support with Sprint. The local stores (both corporate Sprint store and all of the local franchise stores) are full of people that know absolutely nothing about PTT, and they have absolu...
