Realistically, what can't you do on LTE/LTE-A that 5G would be needed?

I can nail almost 60 megs on my LTE right now - and in most areas of a town of 3+ million hit almost always 10 plus megs.

Besides downloads, what can't you do with this type of speed? There's a certain point where enough is enough, now focus on other points - not to say technology improvements aren't good or needed, but I'm more concerned with my battery life than a 5G network.

They need to research and implement batteries that can charge in unique ways, or hold larger amounts of power without hindering the phone with excess weight.

We've already had diminishing returns on the CPU front (Desktop status) - same can be said for phones - they really aren't making large strides like they used to. We've kind of reached a reali...

According to Apple you don't care about battery life because your main concern is having a phone that is so thin that it only has one side. You care so little about battery life that Apple plans to remove the battery altogether with the next phone since they already know all iPhone users must carry an array of chargers with them wherever they go.

But don't worry! Apple does plan to ensure that one necessary component in the phone will continue to fail between the 13th and 24th month of ownership.

thats every manufacturer not just apple, it seems like the only one that uses a big battery from the start is samsung, occassionally moto, but with everything theyre able to do they still dont last that long.

so dont try just putting it on apple, every ones trying to make the thinnest devices instead of worry about a stonger battery

I think it actually is fair to blame it on Apple because before the iPhone manufacturers weren't in a race to create the thinnest possible device. The only reason there is an obsession with thinness is because Apple is obsessed with thinness. No one cared about how thin a phone was before the iPhone, and to this day it isn't at all clear to me why Apple is obsessed with it, except that apparently making the phone thinner is the only 'improvement' that Apple's engineers can think of.

apple's always had thin devices though going back to the original iPhone, but theyve had good batteries as well...well other than the iphone 4s i believe it was, that was just horrible.

the way isee it its about usability, unless you have a slide out keyboard the device needs to be thinner so that way its more user friendly, now of course there is that line that theyre close to now where it becomes too thin to the point of durability which is why more companies need to use the same material that LG used for the flex and that i believe the note 4 is using for the back cover that way it has a little give to it and if something were to "bend" its able to be fixed easily.

everyones obsessed with being able to make their devices thionner be...

If iPhones have good batteries than why does every iPhone user carry around a half a dozen different chargers everywhere they go? The iPhone is the only phone that has a special 'charging case' that users buy to make sure it is always charged.

most iPhones have good batteries its over time like most devices youll need to carry around a charger or a battery pack, me personally i always have a car charger no matter what.
many phones have charging cases not just iphones, so you have no point there

im not sure how long your expecting a battery to actually last and what type of usage is being done but most iphones easily make it through the day without the need of charging, but of course like every phone it depends on usage
i currently have a droid razr maxx, supposed to have one of the best batteries, but i struggle to make it through a day without charging it

No. Mophie makes cases and so do MANY other manufacturers for Samsung, Moto and etc.
