AT&T should not be allowed to buy more of its competition. We need more choices not fewer..

If Leap/Cricket isn't acquired by someone, the company will not survive. Look at it's financial's. It's clear as day.

How come people are so concerned about increasing the number of carriers but don't seem to care about increasing the number of platforms? So many of the people saying at&t and Verizon shouldn't be allowed to buy other companies are the same ones cheering for the death of Blackberry and Windows Phone.. I just don't understand the inconsistency, frankly having only Android and iPhone to choose from scares me more than having only at&t and Verizon.

Microsoft has the money... Windows Phone will inevitably catch on. Heck, it might even be attractive if they stay at it. Like you, I like the competing platforms. Eventually, I think I would prefer a Windows device. But I'd first have to be convinced that Windows Phone is a comfortable on a phone as Windows 7 is on a PC.

In any form of competition there is a loser. That's how capitalism works. Capitalism doesn't work when you don't let competition work and that includes loser losing.
