Didn't we see this before when they ought Palm. Whats different this time?

The difference is HP bought Palm, not Microsoft.

Sigh..........if Microsoft had bought Palm there would probably still be Palm phones. Say what you will about them, Microsoft rarely gives up. They keep trying until they find success with a product.

That's cause they have the funds to.

But I keep wondering, 3-5yrs out, how things will be for Microsoft. Most people now a days are using either Android or Fruit Phones/tablets. Really, how many consumers are buying Microsoft laptops or tablets?

I think Microsoft is just as lost of a company as RIM. Both have been failing for years.

Only market Microsoft continues to thrive in is enterprise.
