Yes, I agree, voice quality is important and you guys do great describing normal talk quality and speakerphone use. But when discussing Music, the apps and management are discussed but nothing is ever mentioned about the actual sound quality of music, both in headphones and externally.

Some find it an important consideration and take note of this part of performance.

Its not just this review but I read reviews of all phones and its a lacking aspect of otherwise very detailed reviews...

I for one, find it disappointing.

Well if music and sound quality are really important to you you can A) buy an app that improves the sound quality of the music.
B) purchase a device like the HTC One that comes with a built in amplifier and sound software like beats Audio.

C) buy a really good pair of headphones.

I think a "music sound quality" review would be purely subjective. These guys are phone reviewers, they are probably not experts when it comes to music sound.

Most users aren't audiophiles and the type of sound that appeals to the reviewer, may not appeal to you. They may use earbuds and you use over the ear headphones.

I think if you want an in depth review of the music sound, you can find it on youtube or something.

Eric used to include music playback in previous reviews. I don't really know why he doesn't include the "music played through my favorite pair of earphones sounded really good not so much through bluetooth stereo..." that was very common on early smarphones' reviews.

It is important for me to know if a phone is a good music player, I'm always using earphones when I ride my bike. Not only volume but real power output (max volume without distorting) and how a device shapes the sound that goes out thro...
