come on....u dont see that it looks like the matrix phone. it has the same style, but the matrix phone slided down instead of this one sliding up. it basicly has the same comcept of it. but like i said it is an updated version of it.

Isn't slower actually faster in the Matrix? 😉

I played with one of these the other day. I believe you are referring to the TDMA 8860. I can tell you right now that this phone is MUCH better then the 8860. This handset is solid feeling. I have not felt such an early version of a handset which felt as solid as this one.
And who cares if it was an updated version? You could really say that any new phone is an updated version of something!!!! The connectivity and applications (not to mention the camera) that are included with this phone make for an excellent package!!

There is no question but that the 8800 (8801) is a derivative of the 8110 Matrix phone used by Neo in the movie.

😳 Your logic on this one is completely flawed. If you were to say that this phone looks like the Matrix phone, except...... then it really doesn't look anything like it. If your logic is that it is and candybar looking slider, then all canybar sliders would be "like the Matrix phone". Personally, I don't think it looks anything like that phone, and of course it is an up graded phone....IT'S NEWER. Technology in 1999 doesn't hold a candle to the technology today.
