My brother-in-law bought a stylus for his Iphone because he is a hunter and wears gloves during the fall and winter. He says the stylus is amazing tool when he is out hunting because he can text and call without taking his gloves off. The stylus works for all capacitve screens.

Almost true. You need to get a special stylus for a Capacitive screen if a stylus was something that your phone did not support before. The stylus would be made of metal, or the body of it would be metal, which would transfer your skins electrical signal through the stylus, through a rubber or plastic end piece onto the screen of the phone. Getting something like an S Pen, that would probably not work on an iPhone.

I have not used the stylus myself so I do not know about the gloves deal, but I saw the package it was marketed at a Iphone stylus but it can work on other capacitive phones. So if some fact are not the truth I am sorry for the misinformation.

That's the difference between making a universal stylus, and designing a device specifically to interact with the stylus. Also, the Note 2 has a bay built into the body of the device for storing the stylus. The universal stylus would need to be carried separately or some specialized case or sleeve would have to be attached, adding extra bulk to the original device. So, technically the Note is the only device with a stylus. However, I would be interested in seeing how a universal stylus performs on the note as opposed to the S Pen. I would also be interested in knowing how comparable the universal stylus experience is on another device like say the Galaxy SIII.

It works fine WITHOUT a stylus. A stylus allows for additional features and versatility. Not having a stylus makes it like ANY OTHER touchscreen Android phone.

Well, I mean, I bought a $1.50 stylus from the "Dollar Store" It looks like a rounded piece of tin about the thickness of a pencil, has a pen clip on it, and one end is a soft rubber ball. I was expecting it to either not work, or work "okish". However, on my Galaxy 5 (Galaxy euro) and on my iPod4, it works amazingly, and perfectly. Was very surprised.

Not surprised in the least...MANY of our after market acessories have a huge mark up (especially OEM).

Kudos to you for finding something that works as well as you say for such a low cost!

The ONLY place where I would hesitate on accessories would be batteries and chargers. That is the heartbeat of the device and going cheap may not only shorten the life expectancy of your device, it, in some cases, could he a fire hazard.
