Finally. Someone says it. It's funny APPLE has the most resources out of all companies and yet it chooses the litigation to hinder competition. All this protect IP crap is bull as like with many companies a LOT of these patents they are fighting over were bought, NOT developed. Buying a patent or patenting something that existed as an idea before you actually developed it shouldn't get this type of injunction. Add to that they are selectively applying these suits and not across all companies.

The patent system is a total mess. Incompetence breeds chaos. Even defining the process of how to gain approval for ownership, is met with contradiction.
I've spoken with two patent attorneys that I know and both have given two different process proceedures. It's ludicrous.
Both agree that the system is designed to work, but inventors/designers need to be logistical and retain some coherent common sense to help the process. Also, a working embodiment should be a prerequisite in finalizing approval. "Ideas" or "Conceptual" designs for products should not be acceptable in granting a patent.
