If there is one reason why Nokia is doing so poorly, its because of actions of one man -- Stephen Elop. An ex-Microsoft employee, he compromised Nokia's future by betting it all on windows mobile, a 5th place OS (at the time). Multi-billion dollar companies typically have no feelings, no loyalties per se, and basically just one simple strategy -- do what it takes to make money . If something doesn't work, they dump it. If they have a choice of 2 good products, and are unsure, they'll release both and see which sells. Samsung's mobile division is a great example of this. They understand that Android is popular, so they flood the market with different size/shape androids. Samsung also understands that a small share of the market prefer windo...
