for the Samsung Moment:
Disapointed, sorely...
1st forray into Sprint coverage/service in suburban New Orleans and the gulf coast. PROS: Keyboard is laid out nice and smooth, and fairly easy to get the hang of after a day or so. I was coming from a Blackberry, Q, Droid 1 (VZW) so it took a little adjusting... -Reception is fairly strong in most cases, not too many issues here. CONS: BATTERY! This by far has had the worst battery life of any phone I've ever used. ...

for the LG enV3 VX-9200:
Excellent Choice for the Texter/Talker
This is my 1st experience with the EnV series phones on Verizon and I've come from almost everything. Blackberry, Palm, Windows, quick messaging, basic; you name it, I've just about used them all. PROS: -The battery life on this thing is nothing short of amazing. With moderate text/call/data usage I can almost squeeze out FOUR days on this on average, even with bluetooth usage. -Reception is generally really good unless you're in a fringe area. -Speaker and call ...

for the Samsung Eternity SGH-A867:
One of the Best Phones In An... Eternity
AT&T has rolled out another winner in the touchscreen category with this one. PROS: -VERY crisp, bright hi res screen display. -Numbers VERY large and makes for easy dialing. -UI is LIGHTNING fast and among the easiest to navigate through that's come out in years. -FULL browser & GPS at a reasonable price. -Easy texting. T9 recommended while driving. And hands down the BEST QWERTY keyboard available on any touchscreen I've ever seen. -Battery pretty respectable; I pulled nearly ...

for the Nokia 6085 / 6086:
It works, when it wants to
Ah the standard "free" phone. This is one of many. And with free phones you can either get an excellent deal, a "mediocre" phone, or one that is completely pathetic. This one falls into the "mediocre" category hands down. PROS: -Very simple key layout, and raised keys make it easy to dial. -Large numbers on the screen when punched in. -Respectable battery life. CONS: -Its impossible to hear the ringer on this. Many customers have returned it sorely for this reason ...

for the Samsung Instinct M800:
Great, but a few noticable flaws
Not a normal Sprint customer; but we had this as a "live" demo phone before its unfortunate demise to a thief. This was the 1st time I had extensive use with a touchscreen and it wasn't too bad. PROS: -GPS navigation a breeze, and very intuitive to enter coordinates and use. Kudos to Sprint for making this standard on their unlimited data plans. -HTML browser is nice. -Decent reception, even with 1-2 bars of strength. -Layout is easy to navigate. -Good call quality. CONS: -Battery life ...

for the LG Vu / CU920 / CU915:
The Touchscreen For Those Who HATE Touchscreens
I've been the type who always swore up and down "I'd NEVER own a BlackBerry, PDA, Treo, touchscreen, etc." You name it; I swore up and down I'd never touch any of these phones with a 10 foot pole. And every time I end up proving myself wrong, BUT I'm wrong for all the RIGHT reasons. Ah yes, this phone got me back on AT&T. I pulled strings with our indirect channel reps and ...

for the BlackBerry Curve 8330:
Among the Elite Phones Out
Well, I finally broke down and switched carriers after a little over 3 years. And with that comes yet another new phone. I've owned MANY phones from a RAZR, Treo, Blackjack, Q, almost everything known and have played with BlackBerry phones before and figured this one was worth a try. I had a Touch Pro before this and found it to be among one of the worst phones I ever owned. Despite lacking certain features, the BlackBerry trumps ...

for the Samsung Propel A767:
Another texting winner from AT&T
AT&T's been shooting off the texting phones like lightning these days; and unlike lightning, they're all striking in the same place. And striking the same place that's turned out to be a major asset for the texting fanatics across the USA... PROS: Keyboard is familiar for BlackJack 2 users or anyone who's touched any Blackjack System UI is a lot faster than the BlackJack, making texting a lot quicker. Cheapter internet and availability of AT&T Navigator for a flat $20 a month. Voice ...

for the Pantech Matrix C740:
Perfect for the texter/talker in the household
Another AT&T phone, and everyone thinks "oooo, another Pantech. I'll pass." Don't pass this one up too quick. Its a great "all in one" device for those who want a good, reliable text/talk phone without moving up to a PDA. PROS: Keys are very nicely laid and spaced out. About 30 mins should give all you need to adjust to the QWERTY keyboard. Reception is very good. Had no problem on either end from others as well ...

for the LG CU515:
Good RAZR Replacement
I've normally sworn off anything that's not a PDA, but occasionally I'll borrow a phone or 2 that is not in use just to test drive them to help with selling and thought I'd give my 2 cents. This is from a PHONE perspective and NOT a PDA perspective. PROS: -Display is bright, crisp, and graphics are pleasing to the eye; not to mention easy to read. -Signal is pretty crisp and clear, very few complaints in this department. -Speakerphone is EXTREMELY ...

for the Samsung BlackJack II SGH-i617:
Better Followup on the Original, Though Marginally Better
I decided to give the Blackjack a 2nd try, but naturally waited till the next generation for the BJ2. PROS: -Keyboard is laid out much better than in the previous generation, but feels a bit lacking compared to other QWERTY phones; namely the Moto Q9h. -Photo quality not too shabby for a phone. -Display is nice and crisp. Was quite impressed with the main LCD. CONS: -Battery is still terrible, and no extended length is available. I'll be down to ...

for the Motorola Q Global / Q9h:
Behold, the Power of Q!!!
They say third time's a charm right? Well, this is my 3rd smartphone, and I have once again returned to Motorola for the next round. I planned on getting a RAZR2 V9, but Xed that due to my excessive text habit. And I am so glad I followed my gut and picked up this gem. This phone is FANTASTIC. IMHO, it is the most underrated, BEST smartphone on AT&T's network. PROS: -QUERTY keypad is VERY VERY useful and ...

for the Samsung BlackJack SGH-i607:
Not the Greatest Hand in the World to be Dealt
Long time AT&T user in Northeast Louisiana (5 years and counting. Lots of traveling through Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas). This was my 1st smart phone, ALL of my prior stints with Motorola flip phones beforehand. I played around with this one night and really liked the texting capability on it and thought "cool, an all in 1 solution for everything." Unfortunately, it didn't play out that way at all the longer I kept it. PROS: - QUERTY keyboard is nicely ...

for the Motorola RAZR V3xx:
MOTO, You've Outdone Yourself
First of all, this is coming from the perspective of a regular phone, NOT a PDA. This is my 4th Motorola and by far, this has been the ABSOULTE BEST regular phone I've owned and operated on the AT&T network. I pulled 3 warranty swaps on my RAZR V3 to get this, and I was a bit hesitant at first due to the increasing problems from the other, but decided to give this one a chance based on my ...

for the Palm Treo 650 (GSM):
Good PDA/Organizer, Text Device; HORRIBLE as a Phone
This is my 2nd PDA/Smartphone. My 1st phone was a Black RAZR V3 (review elsewhere), and my 1st "Smartphone" was a BlackJack 1 (still to be written) I got this used from a friend thanks to a trade on the Blackjack. PROS: - Keyboard layout is a lot easier than most expect. Within 15 mins, I found texting to be worlds easier than on the Blackjack (QUERTY keyboards are my only way to text with the exception ...

for the Motorola RAZR V3:
Average at best...
I've owned this phone for almost 8 months now in the Northeast Louisiana area with Cingular. My previous experiences with Motorola came from a V400 and V551. Signal-wise, its fared out OK; but lately calls are dropping and increasing in frequency. One minor complaint is a "buzzing" noise that I have occasionally heard where the ear is placed. It hasn't become a major issue, but its enough to annoy after extended periods of time. Bluetooth is a breeze. ...
