for the Motorola Q:Very Nice PHONE FIRST!! PDA 2nd
Just a couple of what I would have thought simple things that I am really surprised the Q does not have: 1) Auto Key lock after a pre set time like the Treo 700W had wherein you just tap the center bar to unlock it. 2) A Notepad editor built in as opposed to having to go through the BS of getting an outside program. for the Palm Treo 700w / 700wx:Early Impression
It apparently does not support the old Palm OS calendar and contacts features. Email client works good. Is much more user friendly than the K-Jam or Apache. Less buttons to push to get a job done. Still can not open Acrobat files. Don't know why. Some media files will not open either. Sync was easy. Can sync my Nextel i930, K-Jam, and Treo all on saame computer with MS Mobile 5. for the HTC 8125 / 8100 / MDA (USA) / K-JAM / P4300 (Wizard):K-Jam
Bought one from Mobile City. Plugged in Cingular SIM card and phone worked. However, to get onto Media Net, you have to define the connection. The access point name has to be wap.cingular and the user ID has to be WAP@CINGULARGPRS.com. Mine is actually called the K-Jam and only out in Europe I guess. There are no accessories I can find at this point such as car chargers, cradles, etc. Phone is great. Windows Mobile 5.0 light years ahead ...

for the Motorola i850 / i855:Preliminary Assessment
Battery gets only 24hrs of standby. Bought two other batteries(same size) with same results, so must be phone. I860 was the same way though. Wish this phone had battery life like the Razr3. I860 had the 'quick flip' which was a real nice feature. This one does not. Camera is useless as is case with all phone cameras I have used. Download phone contact manager wipes out voice and picture attachments to your contacts. No car holder that tapes ...
