for the LG VX-8100:I'll keep my VX8000
After using the phone for two days, I'm going to keep my VX8000. The only thing the 8100 has going for it is that it's slightly smaller, has a miniSD slot, and BlueTooth. Other than that, the Internal Display is smaller than on the 8000. The External Display is much smaller and only 65K color, where the 8000 has 262K color. The camera quality is horrible. for the Samsung SCH-A610:A610 IS UNIMPRESSIVE
The swivel screen is kind of interesting, and feels like the hinge area is made quite well and won't snap off. That's about the end of the good stuff on this phone. Now for the not so good parts: 1) Flash. It might as well not be there. I've tried the cam in dark rooms, and a match would illuminate things better for picture. 2) Display. The one and only. for the Audiovox CDM-8900:CDM8900...Bah Humbug! (my review)
I had the VX6000 for a few weeks back in July, so I compared the CDM8900 to it. First thing I tried out on the 8900 was the camera, and compared it to the camera on the vx6000. The 8900 has a 65K display, and the 6000 has a 262K display. You could really notice the color difference between the two when using the camera feature. for the LG VX-6000:Needs new Software Update
I have tried two VX6000s and both of them had software problems. Even a few friends of mine bought the VX6000, and all had the same problems. The Tech at the store noted them all and said they were aware of some of them, and that LG should have a software fix out in a few weeks. (I'm still waiting). for the Samsung SCH-A530:Correct Information
The Verizon Stores in my area (FL) did get this phone in about two weeks ago. After it was for sale for a few days, they had to stop selling it due to a "software issue". Once this "issue" is resolved, they will once again be selling that A530. I stopped at the store last week and tried it out. I didn't like the gold color, and the buttons were to small for my hands. for the LG VX-4400:Tried the VX-4400 today
I have used friend's T720 and CDM-9500. The display size of the CDM-9500 is the largest, followed by the T720 and then VX-4400. The color "picture quality" of the CDM-9500 was also the best, but the 4400 was not far behind. I have always said that the display on the T720 looks washed-out.
