for the Nokia 3595:
Nokia 3595 IM for AT&T Wireless
I got this phone as a freebie for adding a second line, and you know what? I like it so much I’m using it for my primary line instead! It isn’t as sexy and stylish as some others and it’s definitely light on the bells and whistles, but as a wireless voice phone it’s completely outstanding. PROS (some of them) --Excellent battery life --Good reception --Outstanding sound quality, both directions --Earpiece volume (level 3 out of 10 is perfectly fine) --Standard headset jack --Voice dialing ...

NOKIA 3588i for SPRINT PCS
PROS + Sound quality and volume are superb + SMS: ready when Sprint is + Reception is excellent, even with the antenna retracted + Nokia’s wonderful menu system + Bright, sharp display; font size is large and easy to see + Brilliantly lit keypad/backlight + Nokia’s “head of the class” alarm clock + Loud ringers + Organizer and games, plus more CONS - It’s a bit big and not entirely gorgeous. - Ugly telescoping antenna really doesn’t seem to add anything. - At Sprint’s direction, internet/data capabilities are disabled. - The timing on ...

for the Samsung SPH-A660 / VI660:
Lukewarm
PROS + Styling + SMS: ready when Sprint is + Battery life—Very good for CDMA + Excellent reception + Out-going sound quality + Very friendly user interface + Good selection of ring tone. + Sharp, bright display. + Brilliant blue keypad backlight + Voice Recognition capabilities—Samsung is the new leader here. You can call any name in your phone book just by speaking it—no “training” required, so it isn’t dependent on a particular voice. You can say a string of digits, and the phone dials them. This is just ...

for the Sanyo SCP-8100:
Superb Reception, Very Good Phone
This is probably the best phone I've ever owned with regard to reception. I agree with one of the reviewers here that the incoming sound quality isn't as crystal clear as the Samsung VGA 1000, but it's nonetheless quite clean and the volume is excellent. (I can't stand phones you have to strain to hear, even at max volume.) It's a little on the chunky side--could perhaps be slimmer--but it does fit well in my hand and is well ...

for the Samsung SPH-A460:
Not bad, not bad at all
I bought this phone as a quick, inexpensive (cheap at Costco) replacement and you know what, I like it. Granted, it isn't a Vision phone with all the associated bells and whistles, but it is a very good voice phone nonetheless. Others have experienced problems with it; I have not. My main gripe is the dullness of the blue LCD screen. Changing the contrast settings doesn't seem to help, either. I agree that the battery life is on the ...

for the Samsung SPH-A620 / VGA1000:
A-620, it's quite good, but...
The other reviews are right on with regard to the PROS of this phone... Sound quality, both directions - A+ Earpiece and headset volume - A+ Reception - A Voice Dial - A- Speedy Web Access - A Camera - C (but it's the best rating I'd give any phone with a camera... they're ALL rather poor) Regarding Voice Dial capabilities, if you have two+ entries you often use for the same name, you'll have to make them distinguishably different entries in the phone book. ...

for the Nokia 6310i:
Outstanding in Every Way
Extremely important to me are sound quality and volume. This phone is excellent in both respects. Next I consider weight and form: the 6310i is lightweight and exceptionally easy to handle. Although it's a little on the long side (5.08"), it's very, very thin. The display is sharp and clear. Add IR, Bluetooth, Nokia's unmatched alarm clock and a host of other features, this one's a winner. AT&T discontinued it because of sluggish sales... it couldn't keep up with ...

for the LG VX-10:
It's OK
I don't think the battery life is all that great for starters and, I do not like the polyphonic ringers at all. LG phones have a menu system and user interface logic that is almost bizarre. I have to constantly refer to the manual (which also needs help) to navigate them, and I'm pretty gadget-savvy. The phone does get warm on a long call, such as a recent 50 minute one I made, but not uncomfortably so. The reception ...
