for the Audiovox CDM-8300:
Spend your money elsewhere!!
I had a Nokia CDM8300 registered to Telus in British Columbia, Canada. Although the fones menu was easy enough to read the ring-tones selection is dismal for people who don't want to annoy everyone around or pay extra cash to download ring-tones. This fone felt cheaply made as did a similar model Audiovox I had four years earlier. The silver accents quickly began to scratch off. The toggle/joy stick is the highest point on the fone and also the volume ...

for the Nokia 2260:
Very good or very bad? It depends
I work for a wireless service provider that pushes these phones to heebs stuck in the 80's that still swear by TDMA. Generally, the new issued 2260's seem alright (by heeb standards). Reliable, compact and better built than many fones costing five times as much money. Beware the reconditioned 2260!! Someone in quality control at Nokia was asleep at the conveyer belt. Several of these fones purchased would not even power on when they were received (never found ...

Motorola obviously knew about the flimsy antennae's that most customers broke off in the first couple months of ownership. Instead of blame just Motorola I also blame the customers who want silly ring tones and games instead of a rigorously tested fone. Would anyone believe this company also builds superior quality Mil-spec two-way radio's??? Take the ...

for the Nokia 3590:
Great fone for the money!
If you're not a person who is looking for a wireless office, or to pay ridiculous amounts to use your fone overseas or to impress people with a flimsily contrived piece of plastic this may be the fone for you! I've owned this fone for almost a year and have never dropped a call with it (Roger's Network, Vancouver Island Canada). Even with the enhanced audio codec (*3370#) activated the audio leaves a bit to desire but then look ...
