for the ZTE Max XL:
Could have been better
I've had the phone for about 8 months. After several factory resets and installing 3rd party apps to replace buggy preinstalled ones, the phone runs reasonably well. Display is really great. Battery life is good. Call quality is sketchy (always hard to tell if echo and stutter is on my end or the caller). The Max XL has Dual-Band Wi-Fi (2.4ghz and 5ghz) which was a pleasant surprise. for the Samsung Galaxy Prevail / Precedent:
Prevail...or Pre-Beta?
I got this phone for my girlfriend to replace her LG Optimus V. The LG was unable to send text messages from certain locations. Knowing the Prevail was on the same network, I took a chance and it paid off. Sort of. The phone did prove to be able to send and receive messages in locations the Optimus V was not.
